Abstract

This article explores the intersection between Strategic Studies and Intelligence Studies, examining how Grand Strategy (GE) and State Intelligence (IE) relate to one another. Drawing on the State of Knowledge method, it maps and analyzes key theoretical approaches, aiming to identify conceptual gaps and research trends. The corpus includes sixteen sources, organized into four GE and four IE subcategories. Findings indicate a predominance of applied and deductive research, alongside a notable absence of theoretical inquiries into the interplay between GE and IE. Within the Brazilian context, the study finds few thematically related works and a lack of clear conceptual definitions, revealing ongoing confusion between core concepts and their subdimensions.
